Valley Green Art & Craft Gallery is a cooperative nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.The gallery was designed to accommodate local and regional artists and artisans, giving them an opportunity to exhibit and sell their creative efforts. We opened our doors on Oct. 7, 1992, with 7 members, and have since grown to about 40. Criteria for membership are residence in Virginia, meeting the jury qualifications set by the members of the gallery, and the ability to work at the gallery one day a month. Gallery members jury the work of those artisans applying to join. The work of those applying to join the gallery must be of high quality, and demonstrate originality & creativity. All work must be hand-made by the artisan.  All our members are professionals in their field; many will entertain direct orders. This is done on a one to one basis with the individual artists. Some of the artists teach their craft; we will be happy to supply a list of those who do so.

The two annual events which have been part of Valley Green Gallery have been discontinued. However, in November 2010, we shall begin a new event which will showcase the work of many of our members. Check back later this year for details. If we don't see you before this November, we hope you can visit us then.
